Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 May 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.myallbuilder.uk (the "Platform"), operated by MyAllBuilder Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. The Platform
MyAllBuilder is an online marketplace that introduces clients ("Clients") to independent tradespeople and construction businesses ("Tradespeople") in the United Kingdom.
We are not a party to any contract between Clients and Tradespeople. The Platform facilitates introductions, communications and payments, but the agreement to perform work is directly between Client and Tradesperson. We do not warrant the quality of any work performed.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding contracts.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must not impersonate any other person or create accounts in another person's name.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without notice.
3. Tradesperson obligations
If you register as a Tradesperson, you confirm that:
- You hold all legally required certifications for the work you offer (Gas Safe, Part P, NICEIC, FENSA where applicable).
- You hold valid public liability insurance with minimum £1 million cover.
- You will perform work to a professional standard and in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- You will issue compliant invoices to Clients and account for any VAT, income tax or corporation tax due.
- You will respect data protection laws regarding Client information.
- You will not contact Clients off-platform with the intent of circumventing our fees during the quoting process.
4. Client obligations
If you post a job as a Client, you confirm that:
- You provide accurate details about the work required and access to the site.
- You will treat Tradespeople with respect and not post fraudulent or duplicate jobs.
- You will pay agreed amounts on time once work is completed satisfactorily.
- Reviews you leave must be honest and based on your real experience.
5. Fees and payments
- Posting a job is free for Clients.
- Tradespeople pay a subscription fee (where applicable) and a platform commission on completed jobs. Current fees are shown on the Pricing page.
- All fees are in pounds sterling (£) and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable.
- Payments between Client and Tradesperson are held in escrow via Stripe until you confirm the work is complete.
- Refunds and disputes are handled in accordance with sections 7 and 8 below.
6. Reviews and content
- You retain ownership of content you post (job descriptions, portfolio photos, reviews).
- You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, store and distribute that content on the Platform.
- You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, abusive, infringing, or that contains personal contact details intended to bypass the Platform.
- We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.
7. Cancellations and refunds
- Clients may cancel a posted job at any time before accepting a quote, free of charge.
- Once a quote is accepted, the agreement is between Client and Tradesperson. Cancellation terms depend on what was agreed.
- Funds held in escrow may be released, refunded or partially refunded depending on the outcome of any dispute.
- Tradesperson subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and run until the end of the current billing period.
8. Disputes
If a disagreement arises between Client and Tradesperson, either party may open a dispute through the Platform. We act as a neutral facilitator and may, at our discretion, decide how to release funds held in escrow based on the evidence submitted. Our decision is final in respect of escrow funds, but does not prevent you from pursuing further legal remedies.
For disputes you cannot resolve with us, you may also use an alternative dispute resolution service or take action through the small claims court.
9. Prohibited use
You must not use the Platform to:
- Engage in fraud, money laundering or any other unlawful activity.
- Send spam, malware, phishing links or harassing messages.
- Scrape, harvest or otherwise collect data about other users without consent.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform.
- Use the Platform in any way that could damage, disable or impair its operation.
10. Our liability
We provide the Platform "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly set out in these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by UK law.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with the Platform is limited to the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for the quality of work performed by Tradespeople or for indirect or consequential losses.
11. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, code, text, graphics and logos, is owned by MyAllBuilder Ltd and protected by UK and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time via your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if we are required by law, or if we cease to operate the Platform. Provisions intended to survive termination (including sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 11) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with the Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except where mandatory consumer protection laws give you rights in your country of residence within the UK.
